Patty Grygorcewicz has worked in the field of human services for 23 years, originally starting in vocational services with Easter Seals. There, she wrote her own grants while conducting in-house trainings and developing employment opportunities in community settings. She continued working in the nonprofit sector in Southeastern Connecticut, serving individuals supported by what was then the Connecticut Department of Mental Health. When the Department sought to expand vocational services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, Pat was tapped to establish the program.

After many years in vocational services, Pat transitioned to residential services, establishing and expanding supported living programs in the region. Pat began her work at The Arc of New London County as Director of Individual Family Services (now Individualized Home Supports) and also nurtured The Arc’s residential program in its infancy. After The Arc’s Board of Directors expressed an interest in developing a much-needed respite program, Pat played an instrumental role in making it happen.  

Patty has been married 29 years and has one child.
